Administrative Assistant (Full Time)
Vap Construction, a regional leader in general construction, post frame construction, and steel frame construction, is seeking a friendly and driven office professional to join our growing team as an Administrative Assistant. This full-time, hourly position would serve both the construction business, as well as the other family business, Vap Cattle Company, from the corporate office in Atwood, Kansas (on-site). This critical role will be in charge of providing an exceptional customer experience to customers and vendors by phone, email, and in-person along with handling lots of other administrative tasks for our busy office. Duties will include answering phones, greeting visitors, sorting mail, filing, data entry, staff support, coordinating company events, managing office inventory, and other special projects as assigned. Successful candidates will be organized, personable, and able to multi-task with good time management and communication skills. Experience with computer processing programs (Microsoft Office) and other web-based applications is required, along with integrity and humility.

Insurance Specialist (Full Time)
Vap Construction, a regional leader in general construction, post frame construction, and steel frame construction, is seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our growing team as an Insurance Specialist. This full-time, hourly position would work in the construction business, as well as the other family business, Vap Cattle Company from the corporate office in Atwood, Kansas (on-site). Duties will include managing the various policies for both entities, along with coordinating any claims and correspondence required for those policies. This includes General Liability, Property & Casualty, Professional Insurance, Workman’s Compensation, Inland Marine, and other types of insurance. They will also be responsible for keeping us up-to-date and in compliance with regulations, and should be familiar with asset management best practices. Candidates should possess organizational skills, communication skills, and have a proven track record for good time management. They should also be proficient with computer processing applications (Microsoft Office) and other web-based applications. Humility and integrity are required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in the insurance industry.

Construction Craftsman (Full Time)
Vap Construction is seeking experienced and professional construction tradesmen to join our growing team. Successful applicants should have a general knowledge of all areas of residential and/or commercial construction, including operating power tools and running job site equipment. Vap Construction’s residential and commercial construction division does new construction along with renovation projects, ranging from framing and drywall to flooring and cabinetry and everything in between.

Entry Level Construction Worker (Full Time)
Vap Construction is seeking motivated and hard-working construction workers to join our growing team. These valued, full-time team members assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings and other structures as part of our general construction division. Vap Construction’s residential and commercial construction division does new construction along with renovation projects, ranging from framing and drywall to flooring and cabinetry and everything in between. Successful candidate will operate basic construction tools and equipment, as well as perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying materials, etc. Applicants should have a general knowledge of construction tools and techniques, with the physical stamina needed to perform manual labor. Good communication skills and a positive attitude are a must. Previous construction experience is preferred, but not required.
